He's dying while in possession of animal control of Rochester region. And then and so I wanna talk to her because. What I -- and what she thought it happened to the dogs was exactly what happened to the dogs. As soon as I heard the story I thought it. Well. I bet they locked him in the back of the animal control band. And left him there in the heat -- -- they died churn up that's exactly how those hugs. But Nancy who is a city residents. That's exactly how they had the dot. They well there -- two weeks ago on a Friday late in the show you're on 10 o'clock -- she called. And you got me in email about it I got an email from Nancy's friend who said He Kimberly. You gotta check out the story. My friend's dog got out of their yard and they were picked up by animal control and I guess one of the neighbors had seen the dogs. And they saw animal control officers. Pick up the dogs and they were healthy when they were picked up. There are obviously well cared for animals my assumption and Nancy's assumption was right on the money. The two little hugs. Were left in the animal control van. That would wait for it. -- didn't have air conditioning and they left those plugs there for an hour and a half. Nancy how you don't. And now it's backed by its backing their -- and there aren't right no no very. And we know -- we couldn't ever get any answer from the Verona street animal shelter. We couldn't get an answer from the city. On the the animal control guys who who drive around in the van. But there was finally an answer given to several media outlets several TV stations. And and Nancy what did anyone finally tell you or did one of the guys from the TV station tell you what happened to the dogs. Quite an -- and the news. Nobody -- I call you from the city. Not that cheap police shepherd. Not the -- animal shelter. Then no one called you you heard about this on the news. Contact her -- from our own comic told me it was -- I get how I found out and had -- -- held mr. checkered to you make a decision. You know about a gentleman who who was involved was hurting my chaotic and giving him to -- candy quickly. Apparently there were two officers. Who were aware at that time that there were dogs. In the back of the animal the Rochester animal control van. And those officers. Remain on the job. I mean that the public really want someone like -- that gap. It actually could be here. Album. And and how did the dogs get out and Nancy told this initially what they they they dug underneath the fence. Probably couldn't dig underneath and there was a hole I can't put action front in -- Ian down. They just -- awakened and I'm -- terrible and older. Well I mean and yet and I don't don't play it now self. But they get out how the dogs are -- was horrible. Chief shepherd says that a -- will definitely be looking at additional training Kimberly as one of the steps to ensure this doesn't happen again well. I don't know why year old knows better than to put a dog it was 94 degrees. Why -- daisy and Lilly were picked up. And I just don't look at it I had been want to look like plug in. Dog in the car. They wouldn't even need additional actually they would try to leave prelude to changing. And also the dogs were put in the un air conditioned animal control van let their for an hour and a half. And don't want a little dogs anyway with kind of smashed -- right so I imagine it would be hard for them to bring him doing that and regular circumstances when their. You want to make. I'm gonna make it another assumption because Nancy when we talk to you initially. We made the assumption that the dogs are stuck in an animal control band and they probably you know died due to the heat and we were we were right on the money. I'm gonna tell you for an hour to have these guys these two animal control losers. The wannabe cops were probably. Went to get lunch somewhere and left the dogs in the van and -- I'm gonna tell you right they -- either at some coffee shop. Some donut hole are they are going out to lunch and they just that He careless about the dogs they care. You know we're and I can't clean it -- this diversity in their -- For however many minutes with -- don't -- They wouldn't be able to carry it yet they they had no compassion for my animal. I knew that that's it's a horrible thing and why they didn't just drop the dogs off as is beside me but obviously these are two individuals. Who should not be working for the city who should not be working an animal control period. 94 degree day in chief shepherd says the dogs were in the back of the van for roughly seventy minutes -- -- I would say get the two officers put them in the back of the van for seventy minutes on a ninety degree day and see how they hold up Nancy. Did you hear what the officers' names -- the animal control guys -- That that's got to be public record right. I wouldn't coincide -- a number of records are public record and I held it a little research without -- like -- Because you looking making it still wasn't my -- card believe. So I don't know I don't know how. They can live with themselves to our attention continue to do the same -- Imagine how how -- Rochester police was still have the guys on the job. Nancy a lot of people who have compassion for now I -- a lot of people some people have compassion for pets like Yemen including. You still want to after wasting our collars they were not why not pictured don't want to see a dog suffer right but I just it's not some dog run around skinny I don't think -- Someone's pet and it was here that it was a -- and and that and the daughter you know let me ask you this -- were not here to stir up trouble but I have you -- about pressing charges in the way this whole thing was handled. They're certain they're lazy they didn't do what they were supposed to do they didn't follow protocol. They had advance it didn't have the air conditioning part and they are putting animals on a 94 degree day in an un air conditioned vehicle -- certain mistakes you make on the job diet are excusable this is not something I think -- is my idea this is something that I think you know. It's like they you know misplaced to report -- kill something via. Are you cannot let my doctors they are roaming around. Did you were following procedure given contempt and and topic to their owners. It's it's disgusting. It's. All your early years. It truly is I am just hoping I'm. We all learn from this.
