I guess it's all good while until you try and take your service dog to school. At least in the rush Henrietta school district isn't -- Kimberly well yeah I mean this morning at -- middle school the parents say the daughters coming to school rush Henrietta says you're not bring in that dog and our school district in. We notified you weekly golf you've got no medical reason to bring the dog into the school. I don't really understand why they want to you know fight that fight. I mean it just makes a school district look like a bunch of a holes I think. And I get you know that their Elaine concern about you know kids with allergies whatever I mean you're not supposed to come near the service dog at the service dog. Or otherwise distract the service stuck. So -- advise you're not sitting next to the dog and by the way I think you know a ten year old girl in middle school. That is a severe diabetic. Is more risk than someone who -- like an allergy to it you know to a dog. I mean this little girl could. You know go into a diabetic coma. And die right there in the middle school. And then rush and Rihanna has a whole you know another issue at hand rather than whether or not to allow a dog in the school. -- let's hear from the nine year old girl her name is Madison. I he -- this really starring god. And have island can tie it really means is Don Imus said let me. And the Madison's mom is Kerry so basically last week yes. They told you can't bring to those -- yes she has -- rights and every person -- -- a disability diabetes is considered disability. She has her rights and you're not gonna let people walk all of our child. Yet a year old Madison Syracuse has a service dog named duke the family paid 20000 dollars for the service dog. She. You know Mattison has been diagnosed with diabetes she -- an insulin pump and a monitor. But her diabetes is is so bad. That. You know she is sometimes she doesn't even realize. You know when you know heard her pomp and everything else is a working men sometimes you can you know do all the right things and still. You know she has an issue so. They raise the money. They've bought her service dog 20000 dollars and got invested in a -- -- named duke gets trained to respond to. Ten year old Madison sent. When her blood sugar levels exceed or dip below the normal levels. And the dog reacts by becoming agitated and pause at her need to let her know that she needs to. You know check her level. -- so the school district rush Henrietta says. They researched that case and found that the dog's not necessary. Well well well and good until the girl again goes into a diabetic coma and dyes that your middle school. Beyond the district says there's no medical support. That says the dog is necessary and that it will be a distraction and problem for those allergic to dogs. -- I'm sorry the kid with a purple hair is that a distraction the kid I thought that a distraction. The kid with the iPhone is not a distraction. The kid that is shouting out well isn't it a distraction there's a kid in the run generators school district shouting out like. Well I don't know what my thing and there are now that many distractions. In school. And I think kids. Are pretty Smart and they're gonna realize that the dog is -- a plate thing that the dog is actually necessary to help this girl with her life. And I think kids can learn how to respect it's a pretty good about that stuff. Yeah out it's it's one of the parents involved that it becomes Harrison administration but tell you it's a distraction when the school district is sued. Because of a death that could have been prevented Kimberly and back I'm not defending the school but Kimberly people buy from asthma attacks even if they have rescue our. Have a rescue inhaler. Yeah I can say c'mon I mean if you are allergic are you bet if you have -- you can sit across the room in the classroom generally don't need to sit rednecks that dog if you have analogy dial up and pet the dog. See I'm surprised tireless while. I literally got an up and Kimberly -- -- my daughter's type one diabetic those parents are ridiculous every one time and symptoms my job is going to. It is going to while before a diabetic coma is gone lol well before a diabetic coma you guys need to research this now. Okay is. Everyone's. Diet hey you know what it's it's kind of like my mom when she was living up here with me right trying to tell me that my breast cancer was just like. Her you know cousin will was breast cancer not every. Person who has diabetes. Reacts -- same as everyone else everyone and their illness or -- My mom mistrial you needed you know Wilma had breast cancer she did that will -- breast cancer she did this like shut up mom. We don't have the same kind of breast cancer in every treatment is different. So not everyone who has diet you know diabetes react the same way and in this is what juvenile diabetes pretty severe. My daughter is allergic to cats Kimberly -- -- they can be on the other side of the -- it would still bother her. So I would be mad if I'm appeared in neighboring his dog -- the last -- out loud to your kids allergy to cats can be controlled with medication. So are not put my kid on medication -- -- -- to cast his somebody wants to bring a cat into a classroom more dog. Even though the dog is there to basically say hi I've got to get our service dogs for a reason I understand that I wouldn't have a -- I'm not can going to behavior other Russian -- -- this district but again. Do you see any reason why they would lie saying there's no medical support for this thing. Don't Jeff -- -- from a doctor I was sure that I probably have all the documentation from the doctor I'm sure they use and -- not get service dog for -- thousand dollars to -- -- else better to do at the time get him back I we're -- school district where one of our teachers brings a service dog to school every day. Kimberly -- my brother passed away from a diabetic coma last January. Because it it was always up and down and he never knew what it was -- by now he's debt that's what I'm saying and not everyone. Reacts the same way and has the same kind of diabetes as everyone else which is this a mom. This is the mom carry seraguso is on the phone Kerry Howard hi you doing this morning hi all not. Really little merit. -- -- So I mean you received a lateral we can go from the school district and according -- the rush generator school district the district says there's no medical support that the dog is necessary. Have you supplied medical support saying the dog is necessary. Well under -- and I do not have -- any medical records. Regarding if they under that's fair or not. Because the public specifically trained -- mantra that ability. That Paula is required under -- -- Right in her disability is that she has that disease of what type one diabetes. Coronary. And and you know someone was asking is it not controlled what like a -- or you know some kind of medication had they not doubled happen. And and not we it'll over trying to tell people is in or not everyone's disease react the same as everyone else. Is exactly every type one diabetic is different. -- management is not a problem and marketer can play at your apartment by her insulin. The -- he is every day by day. -- -- if amount they're different kind that never really know how much he ruled this kind of got a little. Now how long is this dog been with your daughter. Actually cedar street he did -- yesterday. At 9 o'clock in the morning yesterday actually enacting the Atlanta -- it's okay with him he has been alerting parents he locked in a -- her. -- every single one of tiger Williams -- all of any color in the morning your load and operate. And what kind of dog is duke the the diabetes dog the service dog. You know where he is the yellow lab is a good looking Dodd and I and any obviously you know he's RD take into your daughter and she loves him already. Our they were passed by Obama -- any kind of -- admiration and a lot of money. And and so what are they telling you the rush Henrietta school district carried that to your daughters the service dog. It is going to be a distraction and their kids with allergies and what what have you. Yes there are exactly what you expect. He only common but they're saying is there under the eighty evolved over having been -- -- But tell us why didn't. Why don't you go to her doctor and say she needs this dog can you give us -- on we can present this to the school and everything will be okay. Eric. You step back -- the type of document -- what he did a little rule in the district are blocked it. -- actually spoken -- You spoken to the doctor and she doesn't want to give you a note to get into the middle of the dispute between you and the school. Yes I'm beat the document out of the having your knowledge knowledge now about I try to alert our speculate here it would it would be -- incorporated logo and. Oh wow I would find a doctor that would give me a note. Yes I donate money amount they're they're over 400 -- the -- -- -- and placed throughout the United States. And I knew it would only what they ever come across they had heart problems. Did you yourself have to pay 20000 dollars out of pocket for this animal. We get them under you things and the majority of it out of our pocket. Wow -- were talking with that Kerry seraguso she's Madison services month -- is ten years old -- Iraq the middle school in Henrietta. And has a dog that is now in tune. To blood sugar levels to help -- regulated because her diabetic diabetes is so -- but not even the pump in the medication. You know can -- regulate I dated date basis let me ask you. If if she goes to school without the dog and bubble what could happen if she isn't aware of where her blood sugar level is at any point in time what can happen possibly. Q you passed Al -- took home. And that can happen anywhere -- got what you -- forty. I can actually go to the playground for a run around a normal kid didn't feel and ignited by an. You know maybe that had the -- it was already nine. You know you I don't feel anything on it looked upon what I. So she's not feeling anything coming on because you know -- and again not everyone had. That it is and that's remained that was my next -- juvenile diabetes reacts I mean some kids can not feel anything at all until they hit the ground. Exactly exactly I agree on who. The permanent law and he almost pass out -- while she survived this long without the dog. And I've been mired by Callaway are -- and you're all -- -- Gary Papa -- Are there are actually didn't know complement ending diplomat at home -- -- a lot of little sticker because it pretty packed it kind of looked. In -- to treat them. The Mexican -- peered up at all. She couldn't maintain yourself at school and so finally the school said hey we're not comfortable having her ears are now she adds a as service dog to helper with this and they still won't want to you know what letter with dog industry that doesn't make any sense to me at all. Now I know you think it would allow a dog with an extra tool or an extra 800 no matter then. And that would be repealed they are having compared to hook an actor I count her -- -- I can play. And actually no matter and plan to let her know in game. Aware and her ultimate in placement of numbers are changing their accurately noted they got back. -- that blows me away. So they didn't want her coming to school and then felt uncomfortable having her there because she couldn't control the diabetes so even when that that is surgically installed pump right. I am so pumped out brilliantly at all her -- it's every three days of replace it. -- -- voting eagle echoed and -- every three days he had strictly Angola and Neil. You know in a -- in on -- quickly. I got you okay. OK so and she was diagnosed with with diabetes what last November -- remember. And how much school that she missed because the school nurse. And the Russian -- at a district was uncomfortable. How many Gale -- Entry and the ironic given her a bad name because their national soccer and -- -- you know. Just like it shouldn't -- -- you look at a -- I think -- -- hurt just you know out in particular patient. But in Atlanta and probably -- over. Nearly thirty aimed -- well how are missing all Iranians. Are having any problem but all of. Our judgment carries geragos her daughter Madison and the service dog are Russian -- school district got rough middle schools who say you know bring in the dog. In our school so what's your next step if you go to school this morning they won't let -- then watched. We are going to call it department -- get a report stated that well the diplomat like that and then we are going to continue current legal action. -- -- -- You're gonna lawyer Europe enjoy your daughter's allowed in that classroom with a dog. I EI -- that you go for good for you know. If you're right they have bad -- that they cannot provide. You know reasonable. My appreciation -- the -- for her to have the dog bench I believe that being in the Clinton on particular. One outlook or wants to know what would happen if the service dog bit one of the kids in class but they're not turning -- now when do something like that I'm just are now I'm just try to asking the questions from from one among others. I'm not -- We -- -- guy anyway but the fact is that these are they're trained they're not a -- the dog -- -- it would be Hillary instead it was -- bite somebody. And our way that the kids to be told in the class you don't in the you act like indeed the service dog is even there I mean it's not even there the -- that even there. Yes they're not boast they have any direction we're and then then integrate our management school now has told us in the -- -- -- -- western America is well. So let's let the -- everybody yeah so the outlook ultimately -- or not radiating at all we know we can't stop him from coming. And then a good thing or we work well from the vice superintendent saying. We read you can't be denied a request are in the -- -- really -- you have to -- hammered out. And it just wrote that the school would be so. You know where Ronnie Bremer can you repeat that site and you now couple declared that he can't have her. -- that was -- Well -- would you be offended if they put your daughter class with special needs she's not special needs while she has a special -- she needs a dog but you know she has a disease that's not special needs she's not -- And the fighters being QB discriminate against them -- -- heard a crackle of martial rule. She's not special needs now she's diabetic. Typically carry got to put me in a special class because I had breast cancer. I am what my you are special -- well -- Not to Wear the helmet in the windows and a lot of -- -- of -- carry I feel for -- because I think all of us all we can hope for is a is it and healthy child. And whether or not we will go to the ends of the earth the make sure they are. In and I feel your pain I hope that Madison is allowed to take duke this service dog in into Iraq the middle school the third -- that's the right. Thing to do we wish you all the world that's right and degenerative. Please keep this you know I did on what happens okay. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- let me ask you Kerry will -- diabetes ever get any better is it like with aids they kind of get better they grow out of it or this is what her right arm is going to be like. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Even being left your heart rate went apparently you can barely old organ damage of her diet and keeping an -- like that things are you know. -- -- -- Not I know you just got the service now what does the dog after a bathroom breaks. He does not require after the break extra bit it's -- -- rescue are looking now like her lunch hour the acceptable it is they do not dampening any special. Party kind remembered eating kinder. Because he's been trained. That's always been via the look at you know what good luck you have to let us know how it goes on Monday okay -- Aren't going to aren't good luck to you and tell Madison we said hello.
